Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You” on Friday became the most streamed song on Spotify, with 1.318 billion plays since its Jan. 6 release.

“Shape of You” bumped Drake’s “One Dance” from the top position on the streaming service.

Powered by the hit single, Sheeran, a 26-year-old British singer, also saw his total catalog soar to more than 10 billion plays on Spotify — earning him roughly $50 million in royalties.

Drake, too, has earned roughly $50 million from his Spotify plays, according to estimates.

The payout estimate is based on the widely held assumption that each track streamed by Spotify delivers about ¹/₂ cent to the artist.

Drake’s “One Dance” has been played 1.317 billion times on Spotify.

“Shape of You” set a one-day, one-track record with more than 10 million Spotify streams on the March 3 launch of “Divide,” the album featuring the hit single. The album also broke first-day records, with 56.7 million Spotify streams.

Only two other tracks can claim more than 1 billion streams from the service: “Closer,” by the Chainsmokers, and “Lean On,” by Major Lazer and DJ Snake.

Justin Bieber’s “Sorry” still has a chance to break the barrier, having racked up 974 million Spotify streams since its debut on Oct. 23, 2015.
