JPMorgan Chase said on Friday two employees at its headquarters in Midtown New York City have contracted the coronavirus.
Company spokesman Brian Marchiony said the workers have been at home receiving treatment since earlier this week.
“They are both doing well at this time,” Marchiony said by email. The bank has asked employees who came into close contact with the individuals to work from home for two weeks.
JPMorgan Chase said it is deep cleaning both employees’ work spaces in addition to the normal cleaning measures.
The bank already made headlines last week when CEO Jamie Dimon underwent emergency heart surgery. Dimon has since been released from the hospital and is doing well, according to the company.
Shares of JPMorgan rose nearly 18 percent, or $15.81, to $103.91, on Thursday.
