A new fleet of white Uber-branded vehicles is hitting New York City’s streets — but you won’t be able to hail one.

The ride-hail titan on Thursday is rolling out a fleet of city-mapping cars in an effort to speed up your journey around town.

The new cars — which are similar to Google’s Street View vehicles that have a roof-mounted 360-degree camera — will map streets and intersections in the Big Apple and nearby suburbs.

The images will be for internal use only and will be used to determine quicker pick-up and drop-off points, as well as to improve routes for its UberPOOL car-share service, the company said.

“Accurate maps are at the heart of our service and the backbone of our business,” Uber’s mapping site says. “The ongoing need for maps tailored to the Uber experience is why we’re doubling down on our investment in mapping.”

The mapping project, which eventually will roll out to other large cities, is the latest effort by Uber to boost service in the Big Apple. Last month, it updated its app to allow customers traveling to LaGuardia and JFK airports to select their airline so drivers could be fed correct terminal and door information.
