Ubs’ British unit is being sued for allegedly copying articles from energy publications and reprinting them in the investment research it distributed to clients.

The stories, from International Oil Daily, World Gas Intelligence and Petroleum Intelligence Weekly — were copied by UBS at least 10 times during 2006 and 2007, according to the lawsuit filed by the publisher.

The suit seeks unspecified damages from Zurich-based UBS for copyright infringement and an injunction to stop the firm from copying the articles.

UBS had no comment.
