On Friday, the thing that really matters to American voters will be revealed: another monthly jobs report.
I don’t have any personal guesses for what happened to the job market in February. But since the weather has mostly been nice across the country, companies might have been hiring spring workers early. And fears about the coronavirus hadn’t yet hit last month.
The “experts” are expecting job growth of 175,000, which would be healthy but not as good as the 225,000 jobs that were added in January.
The unemployment rate is expected to stay at 2.6 percent.
