The largest cell-phone company in the U.S., Verizon Wireless, is to start selling Apple’s iPhone, ending an exclusive supply arrangement in America by telecommunication company AT&T, Bloomberg reported Tuesday.
Citing two sources familiar with the plan, the report said Verizon would start selling the phones to customers in January.
To date, AT&T has had an exclusive hold on the smartphone in the U.S.
Apple and Verizon spokespeople refused to comment on the report.
