Vice has added women.com and ranker.com to its ad network to replace the loss of its top traffic generator, Render Media, which pulled out at the start of the year.

Render, with sites that included Cooking Panda, America Now and Opposing Views, had pulled 31 million unique visitors. But Render CEO Vic Belonogoff opted to have the LA-based outfit begin selling its own ads directly in 2017.

Women.com was pulling in 9.6 million uniques and Ranker.com was pulling 18.3 million, which means that traffic nearly equals that of the Render site.

A spokesman insisted there will be no falloff in traffic.

Vice.com was the second-biggest traffic generator in its own network, with 29.7 million unique visitors.

With its affiliated sites, it pulled in 72 million unique visitors in November, according to comScore.
