Dear John: Your article about Vivid Seats was very timely.
I recently purchased over $5,000 in tickets — 12 seats in a row — without knowing the seat numbers, which isn’t so unusual. Since then, I have followed up requesting Vivid contact the seller to find out the location. While it assures you that if the tickets aren’t secured you get a full refund, that doesn’t solve the issue. I continue to try and reach its executive offices, but I’m told I can’t be connected or that I’m speaking to the highest-level person.
This is a game, and it needs to stop. J.W.
Dear J.W.: Ouch!
Maybe the company should be called Livid Seats.
