UK-based Vodafone is looking at selling its Verizon Wireless shares, which could lead to a $135 billion windfall for the British mobile giant and an exit from the US market, the Sunday Times of London reported.

Vodafone recently held a series of talks with Verizon over a sale of Vodafone’s 45 percent stake in their Verizon Wireless venture.

A deal could be struck as soon as the summer, the paper added, citing unnamed investors as well as industry and banking sources.
