The world’s leading brick-and-mortar retailer, led by CEO Doug McMillon, is considering a streaming service, according to a report.

Although details are scarce, a Walmart entry could undercut other streaming services on the market by charging no more than $8 a month.

Walmart sees an opportunity because it believes Amazon and Netflix “are seen as more popular with people on the East and West Coasts of the US,” according to TheInformation, which first reported on Walmart’s plans, citing sources.

Walmart’s effort would be aimed at America’s heartland, the report said.

Walmart told The Post it doesn’t “comment on rumors and speculation.”

A streaming service from the discounter could spur subscribers into doing more online shopping with the chain.

Media research firm MoffettNathanson recently reported that 40 percent of paying subscribers to Amazon Prime signed up for its video offerings.
