Warren Buffett, the Oracle of Omaha, told the Fox Business Network last month that he flies on Berkshire Hathaway’s jet company NetJets just like the company’s other high-end customers.

So if there were any problems with service due to poor parts inventory or overworked and unhappy pilots, he would know.

“I get the same planes and the same pilots as everyone else,” he told FBN.

Not really.

When the billionaire flies on his NetJets, there is always a backup plane ready, sources told Josh Kosman, meaning Buffett probably doesn’t know if there are problems because they are solved before he hits the tarmac.

“Providing backup aircraft is a routine part of our business, and we do that for many of our customers,” a NetJets spokeswoman said.
