OMAHA, Neb. — Warren Buffett wants his son to succeed him as non-executive chairman of Berkshire Hathaway after he dies, the billionaire investor said in an interview with CBS’s “60 Minutes.”
Howard Buffett, a farmer with no college degree, would be a good successor, the elder Buffett said, because he understands the values of the company.
Howard Buffett is amenable to the plan, he told the news program, as long as he does not have to stop farming.
CBS released portions of the interview Friday ahead of its Sunday evening broadcast.
