Cisco Systems yesterday introduced a new Internet network router it said will handle Web traffic 12 times faster than rival products.

The router is aimed at handling surging Internet use driven by smartphones and Web sites like YouTube. The company boasted that 72 of the new routers connected together could deliver every movie ever made in four minutes over the Web.
