Are millennials the next “Greatest Generation”? When it comes to savings, they might be.
Millennials — the generation typically maligned for living in their parents’ basement — are saving more of what they earn than any other age group, according to a poll commissioned by Bankrate.com.
Sixty-two percent of millennials are saving at least 5 percent of their income — even though they are the least likely to have full-time employment.
That’s up a staggering 20 percentage points from just last year, according to the survey.
