The best part of waking up is about to get more expensive.
Prices for Folgers and Dunkin’ Donuts packaged coffee will be increasing by 9 percent, the J.M. Smucker Company announced Tuesday.
That means a 1-pound bag of Dunkin’ Donuts coffee that retails for about $8.99 will increase by 81 cents.
The company decided to raise prices on its packaged products to offset the rising costs of green coffee.
Arabica coffee hit a 26-month high in April after a terrible drought in Brazil damaged a big portion of the crop.
K-Cup lovers can rest easy, as the popular single-serving coffee containers are not included in the price increase.
