Two teams who put up commanding wins in the first round of the NCAA Tournament will meet today in the second round, with a ticket to the Sweet 16 on the line.

No. 1 Houston dominated on Thursday, putting up a 78-40 win over SIU-Edwardsville. No. 8 Gonzaga beat Georgia in the first round 89-68.

Only one of these teams can advance to the Sweet 16, meaning one of these team’s Sweet 16 streaks will end today. Houston and Gonzaga are currently the two teams with the longest active Sweet 16 streaks in the NCAA. Gonzaga’s streak dates back nine years, tying them for the longest Sweet 16 streak in NCAA history, while Houston has appeared in all of the last five Sweet 16 rounds.

Whichever team’s streak continues will move on to face Purdue next week.

The Houston vs. Gonzaga game is tonight, March 22, at 8:40 p.m. ET.
