Can Caitlin Clark go out on top, or will South Carolina finish off a historic undefeated season?
A women’s March Madness tournament that has featured some classic battles and shattered television records comes to a conclusion Sunday as Iowa takes on South Carolina in the NCAA championship game.
Clark, the legendary Hawkeyes star who has already declared for the 2024 WNBA Draft, is looking to win her first national championship in her final collegiate game after Iowa fell to LSU in last year’s title contest.
South Carolina, meanwhile, is looking to avenge its Final Four loss against Iowa last year when the Gamecocks were undefeated.

Caitlin Clark on Dawn Staley calling her one of the GOATs of the game. pic.twitter.com/PZkm3WIsfH
Dawn Staley made sure to shout out Caitlin Clark before the championship trophy ceremony came to an end, calling the Hawkeyes' superstar "one of the GOATs."
The powerful message comes amid the ongoing debate over what Clark's legacy will be in women's college basketball and has drawn passionate responses from both sides.
Staley mentioned the "heavy load" Clark has had to carry as one of the faces of the women's game and how she will elevate the WNBA next.
"She carried a heavy load for our sport and it just isn't going to stop here on the collegiate tour," Staley said. But when she is the No. 1 pick in the WNBA draft she's going to lift that league up as well. Caitlin Clark if you're out there, you are one of the GOATs of our game, so we appreciate you."
