Trey McGowens was ready.

The Nebraska guard — who is using a scooter to walk while recovering from surgery for a broken foot — rolled onto the court when benches cleared in Wednesday’s loss to NC State.

McGowens, a 6-foot-4 junior, went viral after the ESPN broadcast captured him scooting across the court to support his teammates, including younger brother, five-star guard, Bryce McGowens.

Tensions were high during the matchup, which saw NC State top Nebraska 104-100 in quadruple-overtime at PNC Arena.

The scrum broke out in the final six minutes after a corner three from NC State forward Jericole Hellems. Three Nebraska players, including starter Lat Mayen, were ejected.

When the benches cleared, ESPN broadcasters calling the game shared a laugh over McGowens’ efforts to back up his team while injured.

The clip was also shared by SportsCenter, and McGowens reposted it to his Instagram Story.
