Jared Rhoden had 22 points and 11 rebounds and Ike Obiagu added 20 points with eight blocks as Seton Hall routed Wagner 78-45 Tuesday night in Newark.
It was Rhoden’s second double-double of the season. He also finished with three blocks.
Obiagu, who was 12-for-15 from the free-throw line, matched his career-high in blocked shots, tying Seton Hall’s Prudential Center record set by Romaro Gill last season. Rhoden hit 8 of 10 free throws for Seton Hall (3-3).
Elijah Ford had 13 points for the Seahawks (0-1). Elijah Allen added 13 points and Alex Morales had eight rebounds.
Seton Hall’s defense held Wagner to 27.4 percent shooting (17-for-62), and ended the first half shutting out the Seahawks for the final 7:32. The Pirates out-rebounded Wagner 40-31, with a decisive edge on the defensive glass (33-17).
