St. John’s is playing UConn in the Big East championship game at 6:30 p.m. ET from MSG.
After winning the regular season and tournament titles last season, the Red Storm is looking for a Big East repeat in 2026.
St. John’s took the first regular season matchup this year at the Garden while UConn pummeled the Johnnies in Connecticut a little over two weeks later.
So this rubber match will have plenty on the line on Saturday night.
Who will take it — Rick Pitino’s St. John’s crew or Dan Hurley’s Huskies?

No surprise here after the St. John's star had such a dominant tournament.
UConn coach Dan Hurley was giving Ejiofor his props after the game as well. "He's one of the best college players I've ever had to coach against," Hurley said.

Zuby Ejiofor waved his hands above his head, imploring the St. John’s fans to get louder.
Booming “Let’s go Johnnies” chants followed into the timeout.
The large Connecticut contingent had gone quiet.

Moments after St. John's defeated UConn, Ejiofor was speaking with the Fox broadcast and spoke about the emotional moment after the win.
Saturday marked the last time Ejiofor will play for the Red Storm in New York.
"I'm not too much of an emotional guy, but I shed a tear," he said. "I mean, I love this place, and Johnnies Nation is so special to me. Just to see the excitement on my teammates' faces is what meant the most to me."
