Zion Williamson is expected to miss Duke’s game Saturday at Syracuse after suffering a Grade 1 right knee sprain Wednesday, according to Stadium’s Jeff Goodman, citing a source.

Williamson is moving around and optimistic about returning in the next week. He is listed as day-to-day and is “progressing as expected,” Duke said in a statement Thursday.

The expected future No. 1 pick limped off the court 36 seconds into Duke’s loss against No. 8 North Carolina and never returned.

So far this season, he is averaging 21.6 points, 8.8 rebounds and 2.2 steals while shooting 68 percent from the field.
