Andy Murray’s semifinal Wimbledon victory over Jerzy Janowicz on Saturday was Britain’s most-watched TV event of the year.
According to the BBC, a peak audience of 13.2 million people — over a five-minute period — watched Murray’s four-set win.
The match averaged 10.4 million viewers overall on the BBC, with 54 percent of the TVs in use at the time tuning in.
