Some 11.6 million people tuned in see Ali Fedotowsky pick — and consequently get engaged to — insurance agent Roberto Martinez on the season finale of “The Bachelorette” Monday night, the show’s highest ratings for a season closer since 2004, The Wall Street Journal’s Speakeasy blog reported Tuesday.

Overall, ratings for the show were up from last year by 1.6 million viewers (10.0 million turned in last year to see Jillian Harris make her decision). Ratings were up six percent among adults 18-49.

The entire season, in fact, was the franchise’s most watched go-around since 2004.

As for the odds Ali and Roberto will stay together? She has a one-in-five shot, given the past history of “Bachelorette” couples.
