Backstreet Boys, barf bags, nannies, oh my!
After saying goodbye to one-night stand Liz, “Bachelor” Nick Viall is finally getting serious about his search for true love, even asking the Backstreet Boys for assistance on Monday’s episode.
And while most of his girlfriends enjoy the nostalgic group date, scene-stealer Corinne is none too pleased given her presence at the rose ceremony the night before. Or lack thereof.
“Tonight, I’m going to do something to one-up them. I know I have the ‘It’ factor that guys really like. I know how to turn on the sex charm,” Corinne teases.
Clad in a trench coat and not much else, Corinne surprises Nick with some whipped cream. While the other girls are annoyed by her actions — given that she’s already secured a rose — Corinne is a no-show at the actual ceremony.
“I tried to do something very nice for Nick and it just backfired,” Corinne says.
Though she secures an invite to the Backstreet date the next day, for once, she isn’t the star: Jasmine and Danielle L. are.
Joining the Backstreet Boys on stage for a concert, Danielle L.’s moves impress Nick Carter and company — as well as Mr. Viall himself — as she and Nick receive a sweet serenade as a reward. Naturally, Corinne has something to say about the tender moment.
“This was the worst day of my life. I want to always be the center of Nick’s attention,” Corinne whines.
Though Corinne does get one-on-one time with Nick later in the evening, she also takes the opportunity to get to know the competition — by revealing she has a nanny who specializes in cheese pasta.
Despite her helping hand — who has yet to make a cameo this season (hometown dates, please!) — Corinne does not receive a rose from Nick. Danielle L. does.
Not that she has much time to celebrate, however, as Nick readies for his zero-gravity date with Vanessa the next day. And while their one-on-one time definitely goes to new heights, flipping in the air doesn’t do wonders for Vanessa’s stomach.
“I’m nauseous and I’m scared this is going to ruin the perfect first date, the perfect moment,” Vanessa says. “I am mortified.”
But in the face of adversity, or a weak stomach in this case, Nick simply comforts her … then kisses her post-puke.
Though Vanessa ultimately scores a rose from Nick, he has other matters to attend to: another group date.
Following a day at the track — okay, a high school track — Nick and the remaining ladies wind down with a cocktail as Dominique overanalyzes her relationship with Nick.
“I do want to feel hopeful, and I don’t want to feel like I didn’t have enough time with him,” laments Dominique.
And while Dominique does get alone time with Nick, their rendezvous doesn’t go as planned.
“I think you’re great, but I don’t want to string anyone along,” he begins. “I really have to follow my gut and that is what my heart is telling me now.”
As another rose ceremony looms, Nick decides to ditch the elegant affair for a pool party instead. And while the other ladies splash around in the back yard, Corinne distracts Nick with a bounce house in front of the mansion.
“I feel like the other girls are just jealous because Nick is going to be my prince,” Corinne says after straddling Nick.
The playful encounter rubs the women the wrong way, particularly frontrunner Vanessa.
“I guess I question what your intentions are because what we had the other night was really special,” Vanessa tells Nick. “I’m not judging Corinne, I’m judging your actions. It was enough for me to question are you looking for a wife or are you looking for someone to f—k around with?”
Until Nick puts a ring on it, his actions will forever be under a microscope.
