Legendary U.S. talk show host Barbara Walters will return to “The View” Monday for the first time since she went under the knife for heart surgery, ABC announced Thursday.

The 80-year-old Walters will make an appearance on the morning gabber via Skype, an online video chatting tool.

In May, doctors ordered the procedure, to replace a faulty heart valve, after discovering a problem during an echocardiogram. Her recovery was “as expected,” though it could take up to three months, according to her spokeswoman.

Walters is a co-host of “The View” and a frequent guest interviewer on the network’s other news programs.

“I thought it best not to talk about it too far in advance,” she said in May of the surgery.
