Big night for O
President Obama’s tele vised address Tuesday night averaged a combined 41 million across broadcast and cable networks.
During the 36-minute address, delivered at West Point, Obama laid out his plan for the war in Afghanistan.
Viewership for Tuesday night’s speech was up 27 percent from Obama’s last prime-time TV address (Sept. 9), when he addressed a joint session of Congress, according to Nielsen.
That speech drew 32 million viewers.
Obama’s most-watched prime-time speech was his Stimulus Plan address to the nation last February, which averaged nearly 50 million viewers, according to Nielsen.
