A heroic civilian that brazenly tackled and disarmed a gunman at the Bondi Beach terror attack in December broke bread with thriller Hollywood producer M. Night Shyamalan.
In a scene straight out of a Hollywood movie, Ahmed AI Ahmed, a 43-year-old shop owner and father of two, gained notoriety after footage of him wrestling a gun from one of the terrorists went viral following the Dec. 14, 2025 attack.

“Had a truly wonderful dinner with M. Night Shyamalan, the Hollywood filmmaker and American director, screenwriter, and producer,” said Ahmed in the Instagram post.
“It was a warm, delightful evening filled with meaningful conversations and memorable moments,” he added.
One supporter commented below the post saying, “hope they make a movie about you.”
While another took a shot at his newfound fame. “True heroes are humble. You are clearly milking it now,” the post stated.
