Anthony Bourdain is setting out to broaden CNN’s palate.

Starting early next year, the celebrity chef and author will host a weekend program that blends food and travel, CNN announced.

Shot on location, the as-yet-unnamed show will air Sunday nights and is expected to examine world cultures through food, dining and travel rituals.

Bourdain’s jump to CNN leaves the Travel Channel without one of its most prominent stars.
