Former “Baywatch” star David Charvet accidentally struck and killed a dog with his pickup truck in Malibu early Thursday morning.
A spokesperson for the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s station said owner Vera Errico’s dogs were off their leashes when Charvet drove by on Cross Creek Road around 5:30 a.m.
Charvet swerved to avoid the animals when they ran in front of his truck, but tragically one of the dogs was struck and killed, police said.

Charvet remained on the scene and called police to report the accident.
But a representative for Charvet tells Page Six that the actor “remained at the scene until authorities arrived.”
They noted he “is an animal lover and responsible dog owner who would never intentionally harm an animal,” before further explaining the events that led up to the incident.
