A royal biographer has claimed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could pull a last-minute “stunt” to steal the limelight from King Charles during his May 6 coronation.
Author and former BBC journalist Tom Bower told GB News that Prince Harry may sit out the historic event.
“I suspect he’ll look for an excuse until the very last moment not to come,” he said. “And that’ll be the stunt they’ll pull. If Charles had dealt with it properly weeks or months ago, we wouldn’t be hanging on to whether Meghan and Harry are coming or not.”
Prince Harry, 38, is expected to attend his father’s big day without his family. Markle, 41, will stay behind in California with their son, Archie, 3, and daughter, Lilibet, 1.
“What they wanted wasn’t achieved,” an insider previously shared, referring to a family reconciliation. “But at the end of the day, he’s going there to support his dad.”
To add to the tension, Harry will be missing his son’s birthday, as the tot’s big day happens to overlap with the coronation.
Rumors have flown that Markle might throw a star-studded birthday bash for Archie. A-listers such as Oprah Winfrey, Serena Williams, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi reportedly may attend.

King Charles III greets crowds by the gates of Buckingham Palace. AP“She’s the master of the unexpected … so I’m sure that when Harry is here, or just before he arrives, something else will come out of California,” Bower said.
“And unfortunately, it’ll overshadow what the coronation is meant to be about.”
Meanwhile, big stars like Adele and Harry Styles have allegedly turned the palace down to perform at the coronation.

Rumors have flown that Markle might throw a star-studded birthday bash for Archie. Getty ImagesIn an explosive new documentary, “King Charles: The Boy Who Walked Alone” (now streaming on Paramount+), the royal family’s former butler, Grant Harrold, shared a similar sentiment.
“Charles, his popularity has dropped, Will and Kate’s popularity has dropped, Harry’s popularity has dropped. What does that say for the future of it? I don’t think Harry realizes that maybe he started a time bomb, which could actually be the catalyst to actually destroying the monarchy,” he said.
