Even after two dangerous accidents in the last five months, Jay Leno can still laugh at himself.

In November, the 72-year-old got into an alarming car accident that left him with severe second- and third-degree burns all over his body. Two months later, he survived a serious motorcycle crash.

During an episode of Dana Carvey and David Spade’s podcast “Fly on the Wall,” Leno looked back on the injuries he sustained in the accident.

“This [is] an all-new face,” he told Carvey, 67, and Spade, 58. “I did it in eight days. I missed two shows.”

In the first incident on Nov. 12, Leno’s face caught on fire. More recently, in January, Leno got knocked off his motorcycle that resulted in “a broken collarbone, two busted ribs and two cracked kneecaps.”

“You’re a 72-year-old guy and an 83-year-old motorcycle. What could go wrong?” he joked.

Leno went into more detail about what happened during the accident.

“I said, ‘Uh oh. It’s dripping gas. I don’t want to catch fire again. Lemme turn around.’ I turn around in a parking lot and the guy had a wire across a parking lot but with no flag. And the sun was right here. And boom it just hit me.”

He then called the doctor that gave him a “new face” after the initial car accident.

“It cut my face again,” he shared. “So I called my face guy. I go, ‘Listen, you know that face, you gave me that new face? I gotta get it fixed.’ [He goes], ‘What’d you do?’ I told him, I drove up there and he fixed it again.”

“This is a brand new ear,” Leno said on the podcast. “When you get burned in a fire, ears are like paper. They’re so thin it just goes up.”

He added, “I got a buddy of mine who’s a mohel. He gave me a bag of grafts and they work out great.”
