Jennifer Lopez’s sister, Lynda, enjoyed a special college visit with Violet Affleck on Sunday.
The 53-year-old journalist posted a series of photos on Instagram from her trip to Yale University, where she spent time with Violet, 18, who’s currently in her freshman year at the Ivy League school. One heartwarming snapshot, a selfie taken by Violet, shows the pair smiling on what looks to be a perfect autumn day.
“New Haven with my favorite Yalie! 💙,” Lynda captioned the post, which also included snaps of the Connecticut college’s idyllic campus.
Lynda’s visit to Yale comes as her sister and Violet’s father, Ben Affleck, are in the midst of a divorce.

Instagram / lyndalopez08Lopez, 55, filed to dissolve her union with Affleck, 52, in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Aug. 20, the two-year anniversary of the couple’s second wedding ceremony. The “Love Don’t Cost a Thing” singer listed the date of separation as Apr. 26, 2024.
Lopez and Affleck each have children from previous marriages; JLo shares twins Emme and Max (16) with singer Marc Anthony, while Affleck has three kids with actress Jennifer Garner, Samuel (12), Seraphina (15) and Violet.
The children have reportedly been a top priority for the exes during the divorce.

Lopez remained close to Violet even as the singer and Affleck’s marriage hit troubled waters in spring.
The “Unstoppable” actress put on a united front with Affleck at Violet’s high school graduation party in May, and Violet visited her stepmom in the Hamptons in July.

Funnily enough, just days before JLo filed for divorce, Violet was spotted heading to lunch in a Dolce & Gabbana dress that the singer once wore on a Valentine’s Day date with Affleck.
After Lopez submitted her divorce petition, she continued to spend time with Affleck’s children. In September, she and Affleck had brunch at The Beverly Hills Hotel with their kids (sans Violet, who had already started her fall semester at Yale) before they joined forces to attend an event at their children’s LA-area school just days later.
