Jessica Simpson and her husband Eric Johnson have separated after 10 years of marriage.

“Eric and I have been living separately navigating a painful situation in our marriage,” Simpson, 44, told People magazine in a statement Monday.

“Our children come first, and we are focusing on what is best for them. We are grateful for all of the love and support that has been coming our way, and appreciate privacy right now as we work through this as a family.”

The pair’s marriage had been subject to breakup rumors for months after eagle-eyed fans noticed that the former NFL pro, 45, hadn’t made an appearance on Simpson’s Instagram since 2023.

What’s more, the singer’s fans noticed that she hasn’t been wearing her wedding ring since January 2024, with Johnson following suit in recent months.

The pair, who tied the knot in 2014 after four years of dating, have three children: Maxwell “Maxi” Drew, 12, Ace Knute, 11, and Birdie Mae, 5.

Last week, the family was forced to flee their luxe California home amid the raging Los Angeles wildfires.

The “Irresistible” singer took to social media to share a photo of her plush backyard being overtaken by plumes of smoke, forcing her and her family to evacuate.

“We stayed as long as we could 🙏🏼,” she captioned the image, shared with her 6.3 million followers on her Instagram story.

While it’s unclear if they’ve returned or whether their home is intact, alarm bells about the pair’s marriage woes were raised after Johnson was noticeably absent from a family photo shoot posted to Simpson’s Instagram in early September.

As the fashion designer celebrated the kids’ first day back to school, the former athlete was nowhere to be seen in the snaps and wasn’t mentioned in the caption.

“Maxwell, Ace and Birdie y’all make your Mom beam with smiles and grace!” she captioned the post.

“Keep on showin’ up for yourselves with each step of the way through this new school year!” she continued. “I’m so very proud of y’all for individually shining your light so that in return others feel the glow.”

News of the pair’s decision to call it quits comes just months after it was reported that they were living “separate lives.”

In photos obtained by The Post in November, Johnson was seen without his wedding ring on numerous occasions.

“She’s working on music and splits her time between Los Angeles and Nashville. Eric spends all of his time in LA, where the kids go to school,” a source told People at the time. “Jess and Eric very much live separate lives.”

The duo kick-started their romance in May 2010 when Johnson was still married to his first wife, Keri D’Angelo.

He and D’Angelo finalized their divorce in October 2010, giving way for his romance with Simpson to flourish.

He went on to marry the pop star in July 2014 in Montecito, California, at the San Ysidro Ranch.

Simpson was previously married to Nick Lachey from 2002 to 2006.

Prior to that, she was in a relationship with John Mayer and was romantically linked to Tony Romo, Billy Corgan, Adam Levine and Johnny Knoxville.
