Kel Mitchell is recovering after being hospitalized in Los Angeles — and is speaking out about the situation.
“Grateful for the flood of prayers and positive vibes that surrounded me during a genuinely frightening time,” he wrote via Instagram on Thursday.
“The scare was real, but so was the support. With the grace of God the skill of the medical team, I’m now on the road to recovery at home, embraced by the love of my family. Your kindness has been a lifeline, and I can’t thank you enough. Much love to each of you.”
The 45-year-old “All That” alum entered a Los Angeles-area hospital Tuesday night through the emergency room, TMZ reported on Wednesday.
A witness told the outlet that the “Kenan & Kel” star appeared to be conscious and alert when he arrived.
TMZ claims Mitchell was still getting treatment as of Wednesday night.
The Post has contacted reps for Mitchell for comment.
Mitchell’s Instagram Stories on Wednesday included promotional posts for his upcoming “Celebrity Squares” appearance, as well as Paramount+’s upcoming “Good Burger 2,” where he’ll reprise his role as fast food cashier Ed alongside his friend and co-worker Dexter Reed (Kenan Thompson).

“As a young actor there are ups and downs,” he later told People. “And when you get to that down part, there are times you feel like no one can relate to you. When Britney Spears shaved her head, I understood that.”

Mitchell later claims he turned to God to get him out of his darkness.
“I was trying to figure it all out on my own. But what I needed to do was turn to Him,” he stated. “Once I found that clarity with Christ, I knew everything would work out.”
