Prince William and Kate Middleton are amping up security measures at Forest Lodge, the sprawling mansion they are gearing up to move into later this year.

The Prince and Princess of Wales will be bidding farewell to their Adelaide Cottage residence, which they moved into in 2022, and setting up permanent camp at the Georgian mansion in Windsor, England.

As their move-in day approaches, the couple — who tied the knot in 2011 — are putting new privacy safeguards in place at the residence, the Mirror reports.

In addition to having new trees and shrubs planted around the property, the pair are also installing a new fence that shields their home from public view.

Gardeners and decorators have been spotted at the estate in recent days, the outlet reports, as several rooms of the home were getting a much-needed revamp.

William and Kate are funding the renovation to the new property themselves. They earn money through William’s Duchy of Cornwall estate.

The future king inherited the $1 billion estate when his father assumed the throne in September 2022.

While an exact move-in date remains unclear, it’s said that the family will be officially calling Forest Lodge their home by the end of the year.

Renovation applications were lodged with the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead, for both internal and external changes to the property, as seen in the heavily redacted documents released in June. The request was granted the following month.

The Post has reached out to Kensington Palace for comment.

The sprawling estate features a total of eight bedrooms, six bathrooms and a tennis court, and dates back to the 1770s — and is worth a cool $21 million.

The family’s house hunt was revealed in July, with sources saying William and Middleton were looking for a home that includes more square footage, larger gardens and more privacy.

In keeping with their current lifestyle at Adelaide Cottage, the Waleses will be looking to keep their home life as normal as possible for their children, meaning they will not have any live-in staff at the new estate.

It’s likely that the Wales family will continue living without a dedicated butler, though the children’s longtime nanny, Maria Turrion Borrallo, is expected to move into a smaller property on the estate.

The family’s new home sits just 30 minutes away from Middleton’s parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, who have been instrumental in caring for the couple’s three children.

Prior to setting their sights on Forest Lodge, the future king and queen eyed up Fort Belvedere — a stunning Gothic Revival mansion located in Windsor Great Park.

Additionally, they considered moving into Royal Lodge — the 30-room Windsor mansion where Prince Andrew currently resides with his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson.
