Could Meghan Markle be entering the political arena?
Princess Diana’s ex-butler Paul Burrell has claimed that the Duchess of Sussex, 41, has the potential to run for California’s governor seat in the future.
The self-made royal expert, 65, divulged to online gaming platform Slingo that others shouldn’t “underestimate” the former actress because she’s “ambitious.”
“What if she became governor of California and lords it over Hollywood? Her backyard is Hollywood,” he said.
Markle grew up in Los Angeles and currently lives in Montecito, California, with her husband, Prince Harry and their two kids, Archie and Lilibet.
Burrell then described how actors-turned-politicians Arnold Schwarzenegger and Ronald Reagan were successful in their endeavors.
The bodybuilder, 75, served as the 38th governor of California from 2003 to 2011, and Reagan starred in several Tinseltown features in the 1930s before becoming the 40th US president.
The former royal staff member went on: “Why couldn’t Meghan and Harry do it? They could become a power couple.”
The “Suits” star hosted a podcast for Spotify called “Archetypes.” Spotify“It’s not so far-fetched because they have to keep going on, they have to keep reinventing themselves because if they don’t, that brand is going to disappear, the Sussex brand will disappear,” he claimed.
The Post has reached out to Markle’s reps for comment.

The Daily Mail noted recently that Harry may be looking to leave the world of glitz and glamour.
“The big question is how long before Harry turns his back on the show-business life, for which he is obviously ill-suited and seems entirely uncomfortable with?” Alison Boshoff penned for the publication.
“In truth, Harry never really wanted to be a podcaster or a TV executive. He didn’t want to be the pepper to Meghan’s salt.”
