Meghan Markle’s Netflix cooking show may be axed after Prince Harry’s Polo doc flopped: report

By Alexandra Bellusci

Meghan Markle's latest business venture may be on the back burner.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex put out their latest project "Polo" earlier this month, but the five-part docu-series - which follows the lives of the elite Equestrian players on and off the field - left viewers unimpressed.

Now, after reports surfaced that Markle will launch her own Netflix show centered around “cooking, gardening and entertaining” in “early 2025," per Page Six, the series could be in jeopardy.

A Netflix insider told MailOnline on Tuesday that the 43-year-old's cooking show may never happen due to the response to "Polo," while others tell the outlet it could happen if it boosts her lifestyle brand.

The source told the outlet it will be "make or break" for Markle and Harry, 40, who have ambitions of building a TV empire.

But following "Polo" the insider revealed: "There won’t be another deal. There may be one offs but that’s it."

Markle was also notably absent from Gayle King's 70th birthday party over the weekend.

"A-listers are now actively keeping away from them and events they are apparently going to attend," the source continued. "One told me 'it’s not a good look to be around them.'"

King Charles filled with Christmas cheer at festive Highgrove celebration

By Alexandra Bellusci

King Charles is spreading holiday joy!

The monarch, 76, was photographed while in attendance at his annual Crafts at Christmas event at Highgrove Gardens near Tetbury, England on Friday.

The foundation was started in 1990 by His Majesty when he was still the Prince of Wales.

During the event, Charles was pictured decorating a Christmas Tree, speaking with students at the foundation and engaging with merchants and a local choir.

Paul Venn, a roasted chestnuts vendor at Crafts at Christmas, told the BBC: “When I handed him the nuts he says he loves them, but he ate so many when he was young he couldn't eat another."

‘Betrayed’ Prince William is still ‘very, very angry’ over royal rift: expert

By Nika Shakhnazarova

Royally rough.

Prince William is still extremely angry over the ongoing rift between the royal family and his younger brother Prince Harry, according to a royal commentator.

The Prince of Wales, 42, reportedly still feels “betrayed” over his brother’s eyebrow-raising actions since quitting royal life in 2020. However, it appears as though his wife, Kate Middleton, has a differing opinion.

“I think the Prince of Wales remains very, very angry and upset and feels very betrayed,” Vanity Fair’s royal correspondent Katie Nicholl told the Sun.

Despite the future king’s resolute stance, the Princess of Wales, 42, is more inclined toward a reconciliation between both camps, Nicholl adds.

“Possibly the Princess of Wales is still open to a reconciliation in some form,” she said. “I still feel it’s quite early.”

Prince Harry, Meghan Markle’s $100M Netflix contract might not be renewed thanks to ‘Polo’: report

By Nika Shakhnazarova

The underwhelming response to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s latest business venture has the potential to jeopardize their lucrative deal with Netflix, according to a top brand expert.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s “Polo” docuseries, released on the streaming platform earlier this week, has been hit with a slew of negative reviews from critics in the days that followed.

The duo, who both served as executive producers on the project, made minimal appearances in the docuseries, with the promotion of the project also underdelivering.

By Nika Shakhnazarova

Kate Middleton still has a little ways to go before she’s fully “back to normal,” her close friend claims.

The Princess of Wales, 42, has faced a challenging year health-wise after having to undergo chemotherapy following her cancer diagnosis in March.

Since announcing in September that she’s cancer free, the beloved royal has been making a gradual return to public-facing duties.

“She is focused on herself and her family right now, rightly,” a palace source told People, adding that the princess is “not back to normal” just yet.

Still, despite not feeling 100% at this time, there’s “light at the end of the tunnel,” the insider adds.

“She has to get back on top of it. And she will if she is left alone to work it out for herself,” a second source told the outlet. “She won’t be going back to work in the same way for a long time.”

It's more trouble for Prince Andrew.

The disgraced Duke of York's former business adviser has been accused of being a Chinese spy and has been barred from entering the UK, according to multiple reports.

While it’s unclear exactly how he and Andrew, 64, became acquainted, the disgraced royal previously invited his former business adviser to his birthday party in 2020.

Prince William celebrates 'unprecedented' achievement in combating illegal pet trafficking

By Nika Shakhnazarova

Prince William is pretty chuffed.

The Prince of Wales on Friday celebrated an "unprecedented feat" in his ongoing fight to end illegal pet trafficking.

The future king's efforts resulted in the safe return of hundreds of tortoises and lemurs to Madagascar, as well as many arrests being made of those who led the trafficking operation.

The animals were smuggled through Thailand with the purpose of being sold into the international illegal pet trade.

"This is an unprecedented feat for the fight against the illegal wildlife trade and demonstrates the immeasurable value of global cooperation in putting an end to these supply chains,” William, 42, said in a statement.

"Movements like this are only possible thanks to the work of United for Wildlife’s incredible partner organizations."

"We must look to this collaborative model for future operations to ensure we are acting swiftly and safely to remove animals from the hands of criminals and return them to their natural habitats," he added.

The animals will undergo assessment and rehabilitation before being released back their natural environment.

Queen Camilla decorates the Clarence House Christmas tree with special guests

By Nika Shakhnazarova

Queen Camilla has welcomed in the festive season by hosting a group of children at Clarence House for a tree trimming party.

Her Majesty, 77, spent Thursday with kids from Helen & Douglas House -- the world's first children's hospice -- as the queen got into the Christmas spirit by decorating trees and listening to carols.

What's more, Camilla ensured that all her guests were treated to the full royals experience, complete with a grand welcome by palace guardsmen, before a performance by the Band and Bugles of the Rifles Regiment.

The queen even had Santa waiting for the children inside the palace.

Camilla's sweet gesture was also supported by late author Roald Dahl's Marvelous Children's Charity, of which the queen is also a patron.

Buckingham Palace breaks silence after maid is arrested at staff Christmas party

By Nika Shakhnazarova

It was a royal rumble indeed.

Buckingham Palace said they've launched an investigation after a palace maid was arrested for assault following a boozy brawl at an off-site staff Christmas party.

On Tuesday, the 24-year-old derailed festivities when roughly 50 Palace staffers gathered at a local bar in London.

“We are aware of an incident outside the workplace involving a number of Household staff who had previously attended an early evening reception at the Palace,” a palace spokesperson said.

“While this was an informal social gathering, not an official Palace Christmas party, the facts will be fully investigated, with a robust disciplinary process followed in relation to individual staff and appropriate action taken.”

The maid allegedly threw a punch at a bar manager before breaking glasses inside and outside of the bar.

What's more, she allegedly attempted to get into an altercation with security guards before her arrest.

She was ultimately taken away and spent the night in jail. The maid was released the following day with a fine.
