Prince Harry asked for police protection after getting murder threats from al-Qaeda: court docs
By Sarah NgPrince Harry once asked for police protection after receiving murder threats from al-Qaeda terrorists, according to a court summary released Thursday.

The request followed the removal of his taxpayer-funded security after he and wife Meghan Markle stepped down as senior working members of the royal family and moved to the US in early 2020.
Harry, 40, said during a Court of Appeal hearing last week in London — where he's challenging the removal of his UK security — that he felt his life was “at stake.”
The Duke of Sussex served with the British Army in Afghanistan more than a decade ago.

According to the newly-released summary of a private portion of last week's court proceedings, al-Qaeda said Harry was "to be murdered” and published a document saying his “assassination would please the Muslim community."
