The date marks the 80th Anniversary of VE Day, the last day of World War II in Europe. The royals and World War II veterans will watch a military procession and the flypast at the beginning of the four days of events in honor of the milestone.

This occasion will be the family's first balcony appearance in almost a year. Their last sighting was in June 2024 for Trooping the Colour, the annual parade celebrating Charles' birthday. The occasion also marked Kate Middleton's first public appearance following her cancer announcement that March.

Meghan Markle admits to 'mistakes' at Time100 Summit as podcast reportedly in crisis after 3 episodes: 'No one's picking up the phone'

By Elizabeth Karpen

Meghan Markle revealed the "mistakes" she made while rolling out her Netflix show "With Love, Meghan," her As Ever lifestyle brand, and Lemonada podcast simultaneously in recent weeks.

"There were three projects that we were launching really at the same time. The past year-and-a-half have been incredibly busy and ambitious," Markle said at the TIME100 Summit on Wednesday.

"Then you see it all come to life and try to give yourself the space and the grace to make mistakes, to know you're not doing it right every day."

With her "Confessions of a Female Founder" podcast specifically, the Duchess of Sussex, 43, is reportedly trying and failing to land A-list women like Beyoncé and Taylor Swift for the female empowerment show. After just three episodes, it's struggling to gain traction and book the stars it needs.

"No one's picking up the phone," a source close to production said. "The show is not landing.

"There's no Taylor Swift. No Beyoncé. Not even a Hailey Bieber. And when you're pitching female empowerment, that's a problem," the source added. "It speaks volumes for her pulling power. She's not happy about her lack of appeal."

So far, Markle has interviewed Bumble founder Whitney Wolfe Herd, Girls Who Code founder Reshma Saujani, and hair colorist Kadi Lee.

By Sean Mandell

Onstage at the TIME100 Summit on Wednesday, Meghan Markle revealed how she protects her mental health while living in the public eye.

The Duchess of Sussex, 43, shared that she has “made a very, very conscious effort to create boundaries for myself and for my mental health, for my well-being and certainly to role model that as well for my children.”

“I'm conscious of not just raising very strong and confident young woman, but also having a son,” she told the audience at Manhattan's Frederick P. Rose Hall. “I think it's just as paramount of importance for young men to be raised with a confidence and sense of self that is going to empower the women around them too.”

“It starts with whatever is going on internally,” she continued. “When I am able to not even just tune out whatever that noise is, [but] to really not give it any credence, that has become so much a part of my day-to-day life.”

This attitude has on occasion made her “late on the boat” to knowing what's happening in the world.

"Things will get brought to my attention on a need-to-know basis outside of that,” the "Suits" alum revealed. “That's part of what I find to bring me peace. It also helps me have very, very strategic focus on the intention of the products, the creative, the producer work that we're doing that I want to bring to the table.”
