Harry and Meghan hire first communications director to manage personal and professional PR

Meredith Maines has joined Team Sussex.

The businesswoman will serve as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's first chief communications officer. She will manage the couple's personal reputation and expanding their business portfolio.

Maines comes from Lightspeed Venture Partners, where she served as a marketing partner for the firm and oversaw communications, and brand strategy, per Axios.

"I'm honored to partner with Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, to highlight the amazing work they are doing through Archewell, their broader business portfolio, and nonprofit work," Maines said, according to the outlet.

"I'm excited to help them tell their story as entrepreneurs, builders and philanthropists, while overseeing all communications for the couple and their ventures."

Meghan, 43, was recently forced to rename and rebrand her lifestyle company, now dubbed As Ever, after trademark snafus with its first name, American Riviera Orchard.

Prince Harry is getting candid on life in America's Riviera.

After the Duke of Sussex, 40, moved to California with his wife Megan Markle and their son Archie five years ago, the prince is giving an update on his new home through one of his pals.

Professional rugby player Richie McCaw spoke with US Weekly about catching up with Harry during the Duke of Sussex's Invictus Games earlier this month.

"I said, ‘How things go [sic]? And he goes, ‘Well, life’s going on pretty good,'" McCaw told the mag.

"He was like, ‘Yeah, I can drop the kids off at school… without any issue.’ And hey, we all take that for granted, don’t we?” the rugby star continued.

“But tough situation to be in…however you look at it," McCaw elaborated.

Prince Harry and the former "Suits" star, 43, live in Montecito with Archie, 5, and daughter Princess Lilibet, 3. Harry and Markle left the UK after stepping down from royal duties in January 2020.

Prince William, back in England after Wales trip with Kate Middleton, launches new project close to his heart

The Prince of Wales has returned from a royal trip with wife Kate Middleton to their namesake nation, and he's started a new project close to his heart.

On Thursday, Prince William launched a new £50 million ($63 million) initiative with Homewards Activator, a local coalition he's worked with for years that aims to prevent and end homelessness, to get more people off the streets.

William, 42, paid a visit to Homewards Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) to kick off the effort that will build, develop or refurbish homes.

William also visited Millenium House, Poole, an 11-bed mental health supported housing project where residents are given their own support plan to help get them to a place where they can live independently.

Homewards also has a Job Ready Program, taught at Bournemouth and Poole College, where participants can work toward employment opportunities.
