AN idealistic teenager (Alex D. Linz) goes to work as a youth ambassador for Congressman Connor (a miscast Steven Weber), whom he learns is not only dishonest but running a pedophile ring to boot.

This overlong, obvious and indifferently acted melodrama was written and directed by Luke Eberl, a former child actor, before he turned 21.

The politics in “Choose Connor” are less convincing than the scenes in which our young hero is wrestling with Connor’s flirty nephew (Escher Holloway), which are straight out of an Abercrombie & Fitch catalog.

Running time: 109 minutes. Not rated (sexuality, profanity). At Cinema Village, 12th Street east of Fifth Avenue.
