CBS has extended its contracts with both Letterman (“Late Show”) and Craig Ferguson (“The Late Late Show”) through 2014. This means Letterman — who debuted on late night in 1982 — will be the longest-running late night talk show host in history, surpassing Johnny Carson’s 30-year record.
