Dead ‘Skins’
MTV has canceled “Skins” after one little-watched season.
The controversial show, focusing on teens and based on a British hit, lost a chunk of its viewership after premiering to a robust 3.3 million viewers in January.
Its racy content caused several advertisers, including Taco Bell and General Motors, to pull their ads.
” ‘Skins’ is a global television phenomenon that, unfortunately, didn’t connect with a US audience as much as we had hoped,” MTV said in a statement.
