DREW Carey is finally going to get some — ahem — action from his on-screen girlfriend.

On “The Drew Carey Show” — ABC’s biggest comedy — Drew has been dating Kate (Christa Miller) since last fall, but they’ve never been able to consummate the relationship.

And, despite a wide-variety of stunts — ranging from a live episode to various musical numbers — the chance to watch Drew and Kate finally fulfill themselves is designed to draw a bigger audience.

“They won’t consummate the relationship until the end of the season, however. We just did an episode where I sprain my penis,” Carey told a reporter from the Calgary Sun.

“It’s an episode where Kate and I are supposed to have sex, but they want us to wait until the end of the season, so we had to come up with a way to delay it,” he said.

Carey –who already has his hands full with his other improv/variety show “Who’s Line is it Anyway,” — will star in the network’s next made-for-TV musical, “Geppetto,” this year.

The movie, made by the same production team that created ABC’s ratings smash “Annie,” will also be the first television appearance of Julia Louis-Dreyfus since “Seinfeld” ended two years ago.
