The Emmys are still without a TV home.

The deal between the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and the broadcast networks expired last August, after NBC aired the annual awards show.

The Big Four networks — CBS, ABC, NBC and Fox — have operated on a rotating basis, and it’s likely that this year’s Emmys, scheduled for Sept. 18, will end up on Fox, according to the LA Times.

But negotiations aren’t expected to get serious for several more weeks, and there are several bones of contention — including the show’s format and online rights, according to the report.

Another issue is whether whoever airs the Emmys in a given year should also get the digital rights, or whether those rights should be shared equally among the partners, regardless of which one is broadcasting the program, the report says.

The networks also think too much of the Emmys telecast is focused on movies and miniseries — and there’s talk of moving those categories to a separate show.
