SAN FRANCISCO — Singer Enrique Iglesias pulled out of co-headlining a tour with Britney Spears just hours after it was announced Tuesday morning.

“Enrique Iglesias is no longer on this tour,” promoter Live Nation said Tuesday in a media advisory. No explanation for his departure was given.

Appearing on ABC’s “Good Morning America” in a pre-taped segment from San Francisco on Tuesday, the “Toxic” singer told interviewer Robin Roberts, “I’m going on tour with Enrique Iglesias in June.” A full list of tour dates was posted on Spears’ website.

The announcement came on the day Spears’ seventh album, “Femme Fatale,” hit stores.

The 26-date co-headlining tour was scheduled to kick off on June 17 in Sacramento, Calif., and end in Toronto on Aug. 13. No announcement has been made about whether the tour would go on with the same itinerary.
