Getting rejected might not be so bad after all. In fact, it might get you a free theater ticket.

All would-be writers who bring in a rejection letter – on publishing house letterhead – to the Variety Arts Box Office will receive a free ticket, plus a half-price companion ticket, to “Endpapers.”

The show, which purports to be an inside look at the New York publishing world, was written by Thomas McCormack, former CEO of St. Martin’s Press. It opens June 23; the free-ticket offer is valid for all previews, from June 11 through 22.
