FX has renewed its ’80s-era spy drama, “The Americans,” for a second season of 13 episodes.

The series, starring Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys, still has nine episodes to go in its first season. It premiered with 5.1 million viewers — the most-watched series debut in FX history.

Russell and Rhys play KGB spies masquerading as married suburban parents shortly after the election of President Ronald Reagan.
