New York’s forgotten borough is getting its moment in the sun.
FX is developing “Staten Island,” a new cop show created by Lawrence O’Donnell, who wrote for and produced “The West Wing.”
The script for “Staten Island’s” pilot episode is still in development, sources say, but it reportedly centers around a police chief in the borough.
If the show is picked up as a series, it would follow in the wake of FX’s gritty cop show “The Shield,” which ends its run later this month.
“Staten Island” will likely be shot on location.
FX shoots”Rescue Me” and “Damages,” both revolving around New York, in the Big Apple.
