GERALDO Rivera’s daily news show on Ch. 5 is being cancelled – and he’s returning to Fox News Channel.

The syndicated “Geraldo at Large” began in October 2005 and performed well in New York – often beating Katie Couric’s CBS newscast in young demos – but it never caught on nationally.

The last show will air Jan. 26.

It’ll likely be replaced by sitcom reruns and, next fall, maybe a new show based on the tmz.com Web site, according to the trades.

Rivera, meanwhile, has signed a new multi-year deal with FNC to return to hosting “At Large with Geraldo Rivera.” Rivera will host two editions of “At Large” on Saturday and Sunday nights.
